Melbourne Storm speedster Josh Addo-Carr has set the fastest pace ever recorded in the NRL during his side's round five clash with North Queensland.

The flyer reached an electrifying 38.5 km/hr, smashing his previous record of 37.8 km/hr in 2017, as measured by GPS data analysis.

To compare to other codes, North Melbourne's Majak Daw reached a top speed of 35.6 km/hr last year and Real Madrid's Gareth Bale hit 36.9 km/hr.

Usain Bolt has put all before him to shame, clocking a world record of 44.72 km/hr as the fastest speed ever recorded by a human in 2009.
