A Rooster fan has returned Cooper Cronk's premiership ring that he lost in the aftermath of Sunday's grand final win over the Canberra Raiders.

A search party was sent out to try and locate the prized item in the rooms after the game, which is estimated to be worth $10,000 and has 160 diamonds.

While he was speaking to the media after the match, a Roosters official walked towards Cronk with the ring in hand.

“I found it for you,” she said while handing the ring over.

Cronl replied: “You’re a godsend."

Th 35-year old said it came off his finger during the post-match celebrations.

“I think in all the jumping around and cheering; I’ve got bad fingers and it must have slid off.”

It marked the veteran's sixth premiership ring, items that he does not display at his house.

“It will collect dust somewhere,” he said.

“I’m not nostalgic, it just sits somewhere in a box and they won’t see the light of day.”

  1. Lucky Rooster fans found the ring, if it was Souths fans, that ring would be sitting in the hock shop, penzo would not have to hock it though. He backed the Roosters and won a motza on their Great Grand Final Victory.

Funny that the greed for money has turned penzo into a Rooster fan.
How did it feel penzo cheering on the World Champion Sydney Roosters and current Dual Premiers ??????????

  2. DaveWombat99 Unfortunately for the roosters the only ones who recognise this theft victory is themselves.
Will always be remembered as the 2nd worst rip off in history after the 1969 GF.
The 2019 GF will have a negative effect on the already low reputation of this club in many ways.
You can sugar coat this win as much as you like, there is no credibility for how this was achieved outside the miniscule sombrero fans.
People are waving the 6 again signal wherever they see a rooster supporter.
    Its the new craze LOL.
