Wests Tigers have zoomed in on Manly rake Api Koroisau as a potential long-term replacement for outgoing hooker Robbie Farah.

According to foxsports.com.au, the Tigers are yet to speak to Koroisau's representation or even approach the 26-year-old, but his name has been brought up at Tigers headquarters.

Koroisau's manager has claimed the Tigers have not contacted him about his client, but does admit he's received "general inquiries" relating to the hooker so far this season.

The Sea Eagle is contracted with Manly until the end of the 2021 season, meaning the Tigers would first need to seek permission from Manly before approaching him.

Koroisau won a premiership with South Sydney back in 2014, under current Tigers coach Michael Maguire.

The hooker has played 92 games for the Rabbitohs, Panthers and Sea Eagles, joining Manly in 2016 after single seasons at both the Bunnies and Penrith.

  1. Definetely, they are both very good hookers, with Api in 3/4 spot of hookers but I feel fainu is a real gun in the making. Both are too good to be sharing half games as both can easily play 80. Would love to keep both, but if I had to choose one I’d want fainu. He was our 20’s winning captain and is only going to keep improving, and no doubt is cheaper then Api

  2. Api is a solid hooker. Not on the level of Smith Hodgson Cook, but he’s a top 10 hooker in the comp and still young enough to improve and build around. Always thought Api would end up in Parra. Mainly due to Parra having bad hooker in the past and they always seem to fancy a Fijian. But Mahoney looks good and the Tigers are pouncing. Does this mean Liddle is on the outer. Heard the Dogs were keen on him and his contract is ending soon

  3. Yes I’m aware of the gutho offer,
Ha been in the process for 5/6 weeks now, it would be replacing walkers money when he is let go.
Hopefully it doesn’t get anymore then 600k/season maybe over 4 years will get the deal done.
I’ve been saying for a long time now we will loose Api or fainu as they are both top grade top quality hookers and both deserve first grade and 80 mins.
Fainu will hopefully be a manly 300 gamer…

  4. Fainu.
Born at Westmead. Fairfield Westfields Sports High, Guildford Owls junior club.
    Another real Manly boy!
Did Manly pay tribute to Parramatta for any winning lower grade & junior teams? They should do.
What happened to Silvertails versus Fibros? Manly’s teams are more & more Fibros all the time.
Why don’t Manly just become Blacktown Workers permanently? At least all future players would be playing close to home.

  5. Who cares where he was born or played junior footy, I said he was out under 20’s captain who manly have a very high opinion of

  6. Jealous that Manly have such pathetic or non existent juniors, that they have to move west? Otherwise they’d forever be wooden spooners in any age group.
    That’s pretty sad.
Why not try connecting with the Central coast or somewhere closer to home?
Or just become Blacktown Workers & forget about Manly. It’s only Manly by name anyway.
