The Brisbane Broncos are set to announce Anthony Seibold as the successor to Wayne Bennett.

According to Fairfax Media, the Broncos have yet to offer Seibold a formal agreement but have signalled they want the South Sydney coach to replace Wayne Bennett in 2020.

The Broncos have recently concluded their interview process to find a successor to Bennett with Kevin Walters, Michael Maguire and current Brisbane assistant Jason Demetriou all interviewed along with Seibold.

The Rabbitohs would release Seibold from his contract in 2019 if he is successful in his application for the Broncos job.

The Rabbitohs have lined up assistant coach David Furner as the replacement for Seibold, despite Furner agreeing a deal to coach the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League next season.
