Gold Coast Titans hooker Nathan Peats is off-contract at the end of the year and despite his unceremonious departure from the Parramatta Eels, a return could be on the cards.
The Sydney Morning Herald are reporting that Peats' and his management are open to a return to Parramatta, which would be quite the story after Peats was forced from the club midseason in 2016 due to the salary cap scandal that plagued the club.
The Gold Coast Titans are reportedly still in the box seat for his signature but the Eels will no doubt be keen to explore the option.
Peats is one of the best No.9's in the game and if not for an injury in pre-season, could very well be wearing the jersey for NSW this season.
Kaysa Pritchard will start the season at hooker for the Eels, with veteran Isaac De Gois indefinitely sidelined due to concussion.
Parra fans. Thank you so much for the standing ovation. Unbelievable honour for that to happen. I'll never forget that or you guys.
