Brisbane Broncos forward Matt Gillett is set to be sidelined for the next three months due to a fractured neck.

Remarkably, Gillett suffered the injury in Round 1 and has been playing with three fractured vertebrae in his spine.

The injury doesn’t require surgery but Gillet will likely miss the entire State of Origin series while he recovers.

More to come.
