Parramatta Eels second-rower Manu Ma’u has been charged by the Match Review Committee for Grade 1 Shoulder Charge during the Eels’ Round 24 win over the Gold Coast Titans at ANZ Stadium last night.

The charge, for a tackle on Titans half Ash Taylor in the 32nd minute of the clash, carries a base penalty of 200 points.

An early guilty plea would see Ma’u miss 1 week of the competition, while a guilty finding at the judiciary would result in a two-week suspension.

The Eels have until midday on Monday 21 August to respond to the charge.
