Sydney will be without star halfback Cooper Cronk for Saturday's clash with Manly.

Cronk will miss the contest with hamstring tightness, and was ruled out of the fixture on Friday afternoon.

As a replacement for the premiership star, the NRL have allowed Lachlan Lam to come in to the Roosters' 21-man squad.

Sydney will reduce their team to 19 players on Friday night, before the final 17 are announced one hour before kick-off on Saturday.

  1. A Sydney Rooster royalty local junior who gets his first grade debut is a bloke who has plenty of natural attacking Skills. In a Roosters team that will be playing Manly in the wet tomorrow night will be great way to play his first ever NRL game. He has already played World Cup Tests for New Guinea and scored points. A long career with the tri colours is a certainty. All the best our next little champion. 💪🐔👍 21st century champions 🐓🏆🐓🏆🐓🏆

  2. Hahaha, he did look pretty intimidated by Cody Walker last week. My double whammy highlight of the week – the Rorters losing and Judas Cronk in fear of Cody Walker. Notice how it was the other Rorters who had to stand up to Walker? Talk about frozen with fear!
Well Friend ‘s gone now too, though that’s not a great loss – fewer penalties maybe.
Will be interesting to see how the Rorters cope without an on field coach. You never know, Manly might even have a chance.

  3. WoodChook, I’m no weather guru but is it really looking like rain for the game? I wouldn’t be praying for rain if I were you, the Rorters couldn’t cope with the wet weather last weekend. Why would you think they could this week?
