South Sydney have a fight on their hands to keep hold of hooker Damien Cook.
The NSW Origin, Australian and Dally M Hooker of the Year comes out of contract at the end of next season and has already attracted interest from Parramatta, West Tigers and Newcastle.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Cook's preference is to remain at the Rabbitohs and has reportedly been offered a five-year $4.3 million deal beginning in 2019.
The deal would be an improvement on his current contract, which will see him earn $300,00 next season.
Incoming Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett is eager to retain the hooker, while former coach Michael Maguire is interested in reuniting with the 27-year-old at the Wests Tigers.
Maguire is a big fan of Cook and re-signed the No.9 at South Sydney in 2016, after he had asked for a release to join the Cronulla Sharks.
