Waqa Blake has been charged with a grade one contrary conduct charge for his push on the Eels’ Mitchell Moses.

The Panthers centre will receive a fine of $1800 if found guilty on appeal, but it could be reduced to $1350 with an early guilty plea.

The push, which took place in the 59th minute, forced a stoppage in play as Moses received medical attention.

The Panthers ended up going down to the Eels by eight points, 20-12 and will head into round two against the Knights looking for their first win.

  1. Moses grabbed the marker Blake & shoved him. Blake retaliated & Moses faked an injury.
If you’re going to retaliate? Wait until a better time & not out in the open. That’s just dumb! Make him really feel it , if you do retaliate?
Maybe use the stiff arm swinging hit that Jennings favours?
You can always say he was falling?

  2. Moses did play well , with the lack of Talent he poses . I’m guessing he’s coming off contract at the end of the year ?

  3. Actually I really don’t blame Waqa.
Mitchell is pretty small and Waqa thought he was a woman. He saw video cameras and just did what comes naturally to Riff players.

  4. The way he falls to the ground from the slightest touch & then acts injured. Everyone thought it was a woman . Sorry , that’s being unfair to women though. So Ill apologise to women.
Maybe Blake was pissed, thought he played for Parramatta & was on a plane? So he atacked the stewardess , when she tried to take his bottle .
