After another tough Origin encounter on Wednesday night where Queensland levelled the series, the Melbourne Storm have confirmed that some of their stars will miss this week's NRL match against the Sydney Roosters.

Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk won’t play on Saturday night after pulling up sore on Thursday morning, leaving them with only another 48 hours to prepare for the Adelaide Oval match.

Centre Will Chambers will also miss the match after suffering a serious concussion late in the match.

In good news for the club, forward Tim Glasby has pulled up well and will take his place in the game.

The Sydney Roosters are also likely to be without captain Boyd Cordner who suffered a calf injury.
