Brisbane Broncos centre James Roberts has been found guilty of contrary conduct at the NRL Judiciary and will miss the semi-final against the Cowboys on Friday night.

Roberts was charged after appearing to kick the back of Titans forward Ryan Simpkins during last Friday night's elimination final at Suncorp Stadium.

Roberts would have been suspended for one match had he entered an early guilty plea to the charge, but was subsequently found guilty at the judiciary after challenging the charge.
