Broncos enforcer Matt Gillett has suffered a calf injury at training, with the grade two tear set to hamper him for the next 4-6 weeks.

However, the injury shouldn't add to Gillett's currently recovery period, as the 29-year-old is currently working back from a neck injury.

Brisbane's high performance manager Jeremy Hickmans told the club's website Gillett's recovery from his fractured neck is looking positive.

"While the calf injury is not ideal, it is not set to delay his comeback from the neck injury," Hickmans told broncos.com.au.
