Sydney Roosters halfback Cooper Cronk is a chance of retiring at the end of the 2018 season, according to The Mole.
With still another year left on his contract, Cronk is considering hanging up the boots at seasons end as sources close to Cronk reveal he has lost the passion and hunger for the game.
After having left the Melbourne Storm, where he played 323 NRL games for the men in purple, Cronk inked a deal reportedly worth $2 million over two years with the Tricolours, but could be possibly cutting his time as a Rooster one year short.
At the age of 34, and about to become a father for the first time with partner Tara Rushton, Cronk is considering moving into a commentary position, which would be less taxing and demanding on his body.
Cronk almost gave the game away at the end of the 2017 season after winning a premiership with the Storm, but still believed he could contribute more to the game.
It seems that this might not be true anymore.
The Roosters have signed a couple of 'backup halves' for 2019, just incase Cronk decides to call time on a magnificent career.
