Lachlan Lewis has extended his contract with Canterbury-Bankstown until the end of the 2021 season.

The 23-year-old made his debut in 2018 and has played 24 NRL matches including 15 last season.

Lewis' kicking skills have seen him average nearly 350 metres per match alongside his excellent passing and defending.

Andrew Hill, Chief Executive at the Bulldogs, was delighted that the club could hold onto Lewis.

"Lachy is a great talent with unlimited potential and he is one of a number of young players that we think will form the basis of our squad going forward," Hill told the club website.

He has shown great resilience on the field and also a real toughness in defence that has proven to be the basis of all great Bulldogs teams throughout our history.

It is great for the club and our members and fans that Lachy wants to be part of what we are building here and we are all excited about the direction this club is heading."
