Newcastle has announced the signature of hooker Jayden Brailey on a three-year deal, commencing in 2020.

The 23-year-old has played 60 first-grade games to his name, and has been released from the final deal of his contract to join the Knights.

“We are pleased to confirm the signing of Jayden Brailey,” Knights CEO Philip Gardner told the club's website.

“Not only is he a very promising player who features prominently in our long-term plans but he is joining the Knights because he wants to be part of our future success."

Elite Pathways recruitment manager Alex McKinnon said Brailey would become an emerging leading in the Knights' squad.

“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Jayden on a personal level and have always found him to be a wonderful young man.

“I see Jayden as an emerging leader, not only at the Knights but in the wider game. He is a person with incredible character and it’s very important to have those kind of quality people within your organisation.

“We’re excited to see his game develop alongside some very experienced players and believe his best football is yet to be realised.”
