A frenetic day of activity in the player market has ended with Wests Tigers halves Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks electing to stay put for another season and South Sydney utility Cody Walker rejecting an approach from Brisbane to sign a new deal with the Rabbitohs.

Moses and Brooks had until Friday to exercise options in their contracts for next season and it is understood the two are ready to inform Tigers officials of their decisions to remain at the club, a huge fillip for the joint venture.

The Australian understands impressive forward Sauaso “Jesse” Sue is also close to agreeing a contract extension, while youngster JJ Felise yesterday signed a fresh one-year deal with the club.

However, the retention of Moses and Brooks shapes as the most significant development at a club that has undergone major changes in recent weeks.
