Vic Mauro is the latest Sea Eagle to pledge his future to the club, agreeing to a two-year contract extension with the NRL premiers.
The interchange forward has been rewarded for his determination.
After making his first grade debut in 2007 against the New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium, Mauro spent the majority of the time on the fringes.
He filled in when leading players had representative commitments or turned out in the NSW Cup.
But those frustrating times are now a distant memory.
The North Curl Curl junior, currently abroad with the Italian national squad, featured in 22 games this year.
Mauro couldn’t hide his delight at his new found security. “I am really pleased to have sorted out my future,” he said.
“I am a Manly boy through and through, being part of the squad that won the NRL this year was fantastic.”
