Titans officials have confirmed they made overtures to lure English centre Dan Sarginson to the Gold Coast this season.

The June 30 deadline for mid-season player transfers passed yesterday, with the Titans not adding to their 2016 recruitments of Nathan Peats, Konrad Hurrell and John Olive despite being dealt a multitude of injuries to their backline.

Their stocks will be boosted next season when Sarginson, who plays for Super League club Wigan, joins the Robina outfit on a two-year deal.
