Mark Minichiello has engaged the agent of NBA superstar Andrew Bogut to negotiate what could be the final contract of his rugby league career.
The rampaging forward had previously handled his own affairs but Bogut’s manager, Bruce Kaider, last night confirmed he would seek a new deal for the former City Origin representative.
The foundation Gold Coast Titan, who leads the club’s all-time games list, is chasing a long-term deal, believing he has at least three good years of football still in him.
Minichiello wants to remain a Titan but will consider all options before signing a deal.
Kaider said on-field success, the length of the deal and consistent minutes were among the criteria that would help Minichiello decide his future, although he is in no rush to sign.
