  1. I don’t follow the Dragons so I am not sure if all of their players got a run tonight but I know all of Souths players did, and it was good to see some of the new signings and juniors getting a run.

Both sides played well but it’s hard when players are running on and off the field. The worst part of the game, in my opinion, was some strange calls by the referee. Only one penalty for an incorrect play the ball? He must have been watching a different game than I was.

    • I do know that the Souths players definitely not only made an attempt to play the ball but they actually did get their foot onto the ball.
The Dragons, one was blatant and was penalised and one was a drop ball in the act of playing it, a scrum, good call.
Maybe 2 or 3 others could have been pulled up but overall pretty good.

My main concern is that Souths were penalised 4 times for offside to the Dragons 1 yet the Dragons were jumping early all night and were allowed to get away with it.
