  1. Good win in Melbourne on another sort of slippery paddock. To beat the undefeated competition leaders, on their home ground and for the Sydney Roosters to do it without 5 regular blokes. Then on top of that losing Keary through the 2nd half was a gutsy effort. Latrell Mitchell is an amazing carbon copy of a young Greg Inglis.

Still concerned though that they have caught the 2017 “BUG” which is the go to sleep for 15mins in a match and let the opposition imto the game. Hopefully it is curable and the diagnosis is only early season jitters. But only time will tell….

  2. Just shows how easy it is to concede a 20 point lead, when the team who’s behind gets a lot of possession .
The chickens conceded tries there within a couple of sets of tackles.
Gone to sleep? Crap defence? Or just getting tired from defending a lot. Just as I said.
If Melbourene had finished off the try from the grubber kick in the first half , you wouldn’t be crowing at all.
You’d have given this final score story a very wide birth.

  3. Bellamy is to blame for Storm’s tactics in the 1st half by trying to play his backs against an 8M rooster back 7.
When the penny dropped he took a leaf out of the Rabbitohs book and the way back was to bash the rooster forwards and when that happened the roosters collapsed but at 20 all the roosters needed a miracle and it happened.
In R1 Souths smashed the rooster forwards from the start which included a rooster full strength team and gave the roosters a lesson on forward domination.
There are 3-4 teams in the NRL that have the forward pack to dominate the rooster forwards. Souths and Storm are 2 of them.

  4. Come on ChocholateSoldierOfDivide, The premiers had a lot of rookies playing last night and did extra well. Its not a game of if’s, Its a game about do and do not’s. Look they got the better of us in the first 20mins of the 2nd half but then the Chooks regrouped and held them scoreless after that. Like I said, it was a gutsy effort to win that one. Most other teams would have totally caved in and got beaten.

  5. Stevesyd in that souffffths clash your team performed really good in really wet slippery conditions while the Roosters dropped far to much ball that night. Remember Sydney lead you blokes at half time and Cordner missed that try by a finger nail when he droped it in the put down motion. Could still have gone the Roosters way that night but the luck was with souffffths when you blokes scored 3 of your tries of kicks to crack our defence. The wet played a big role in that victory not your forwards dominance. Although it did play a smaller role in victory for you but it was that souffffths adapted to the conditions far better then Sydney.

Last night our weakened pack less Taukieaho, tackling machine Friend and Liu, lost its way after half time while JWH was on the side line and Melbourne’s pack did dominate in that period but the Roosters matched them in the final 20. Chanel 9 gave JWH man of the match. Look I will admit I thought when it got to 20 all Melbourne would steam roll us. but the Roosters found something and now I am a happy Chookster 😉 🙂

  6. Stevesyd in case you missed it on the soufffffths game report I will repost it here for you as your love affair with the Mighty Chooks has you writing on this game before your own sufffffths lucky win game of last place. 🙂

Yes ! ! ! Just a little reminder to all you souffffffths fans out there in footy land that after 6 rounds, which is equivalent to the quarter way mark of the footy season, that The Mighty Sydney Roosters have attracted 17,000 Home Crowd Average to soufffffths rabbit’os 11,000 thousand Home Crowd Average Still leading the so called “pride of Western Suburbs” by a team that soufffffths fans say has no fans. 🙂 Ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah 🙂

  7. Now I’m going off to bask in the Glorious Rooster sunshine (morning sun rises in the East, Rise Up ! ! ) Then off to the replay for lunch .Dinner and Breakie. See you all in a few days when my TV CRONKS OUT.

  8. Excuses, excuses , excuses.
The weather, if this happened, if that happened, if this didn’t happen if that didn’t happen etc, etc, etc.
    Bottom line, outplayed and outcoached.

  9. You were going on about defence Wood worm.
Your Chickens were only missing a few players. Had all the spine.
Ran up a 20 nil lead , as premiers. Got run down & lucked a one point win.
Where was the magnificent defence of the Premiers there?
If your team doesn’t have the ball , even with all of its bought stars. Then it’s defence isn’t that much better than any other team.
As we could all see. That’s the surprising part!

  10. Souths are still (7) premierships in front of the city ford/sydneyrorters ive lost count how many club name changes the rorters have had lol@rorters4being7premiershipsbehindtheprideoftheleaguethesouthsydneyrabbitohswith21premierships…

  11. QUESTION FOR THE NRL: WHEN WILL THE NRL DO A REAL HONEST AUDIT ON THE RORTERS WHOM JUST GET AWAY WITH RORTING THE CAP IN PLAIN SIGHT FOR ALL TO SEE FOR DECADES ITS AN ABSOLUTE CRIMINAL ACT/RORT ON RUGBY LEAGUE. GET REAL NRL AND WAKE UP TO YOURSELF AND MAKE IT AN HONEST GAME WHEN WILL THIS CLUB THAT RORTS THE SYSTEM SO OPENLY ALWAYS GET A BLIND EYE TO THEIR RORTING WAYS FOR DECADES WHY IS THAT NRL PLEASE EXPLAIN??WAKE UP NRL THE RORTERS ARE NOT CALLED THE RORTERS FOR NOTHING LOOK AT THEIR TOP 30 PLAYERS MORE THAN HALF ARE REP PLAYERS WHAT A RORT THAT IS AND YOUR DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT FACT. WAKE UP AND ACT NRL BE HONEST IF POSSIBLE?? FROM A CONCERNED SOUTHS MEMBER FOR MANY DECADES.

  12. No excuses needed, only facts. It was a cyclone Tracey night. Shocking weather. Everybody that night should have been in shelters underground.

  13. Hello McChocolateSoldier….anybody home?????? We just played the runners up and 2019 undefeated premiership leaders. Of coarse pints were going to be leaked😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  14. You were going on about defence Wood worm.
Your Chickens were only missing a few players. Had as good as the whole spine & all the bought star players. Wasn’t really that brave.
Ran up a 20 nil lead , as premiers. Got run down & lucked a one point win.
Where was the magnificent defence of the Premiers there?
If your team doesn’t have the ball , even with all of its bought stars. Then it’s defence isn’t that much better than any other team.

  15. Absolutely.
Look at other teams rosters .
All the players they have to let go to stay under the cap.
When a team wins a premiership , everyone wants more money . A raise in their contracts. When they become rep players, they automatically get a pay rise.
Yet the Chickens let a winger go & a couple of ordinary towards . Still buy more players. Yet they are fine & under the cap?
Reaks of Melbourne under the table payments.
Even Brisbane has let a lot of players go to stay cap compliant.
    Not the Chickens…

  16. Fools like you know nothing about the financial side of Rugby League. All players sign contracts at the Roosters and that’s all they get. Just because Manu and Mitchell won a premiership and debut for their country after the grand final victory means absolutely nothing. The Roosters re-signed young rookies Manu and Mitchell for example in the early part of 2018 before they won a comp and played rep footy. Instead of being on 100k rookie money the Roosters UPGRADED and EXTENDED for lets say 300k each. When that contract expires then they can renegotiate as premiership winners and International rep quality players. But not before.

ChocolateSoldierOf Divide, don’t try and make out you know what your talking about when you wouldn’t have a clue. Take my advise. If you don’t know what your talking about, then don’t say anything. Why dribble garbage. It only exposes you as a FOOL💪🐔👍

  17. ChocolateSoldierOf Divide you really lack footy knowledge big time. Its early in the season, Roosters played an undefeated premiership leading opponent, Roosters had injuries including two spine players in which the other one was injured during the game Manu, Friend (spine player), Keary (spine player during the game), Taukeiaho, Liu, Morris.

Hello McChocSoldierOf Divide. 6 players out against a full strength Melbourne….. Anybody Home McChocolateSoldierOfDivide. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂😆😁😂😂🤣 What a GALOOT🤡🤡🤡🤣

  18. Jealously, it’s sickening how you lose common sense in your rant and forget facts.
All clubs on the same playing field. Some manage caps well, others dont.
I still laugh @ souffs with julie burgarse on 500k a year as a souffs employee.
    Souffs the transit lounge.

  19. The rorters need to be truthfully audited by the nrl the nrl keep turning a blind eye why is that please explain???

  20. Lets have a good look of a team that the Roosters have let go
    1. Tuivasa-Shreck 2016/ Minichiello 2015
    2. Gordon 2018
    3. Jennings 2016
    4. Kenny- Dowall 2017
    5. Ferguson 2019
    6. Maloney 2016/ Watson 2018
    7. Pearce 2018
    8. Moa 2017 Martin Kennedy 2014
    9. Mortimer 2015/ Baptiste 2019
    10. Napa 2019 /Kane Evans 2018
    11. Matterson 2019 / Guerra 2018
    12. Sony Will Billions 2015
    13. Nuasusalla 2019 Luke O’Donnell 2014

After letting that team go I would think we have change left over with the side we have now. 💪🐔👍
