Premiership winning front rower Bryan Norrie has re-signed with Melbourne Storm until the end of the 2015, further consolidating Craig Bellamy’s roster for the next couple of seasons.
Norrie, 29, joined Melbourne Storm late in the preseason of 2010 and quickly positioned himself as one of the club’s most liked players both on and off the field.
Not only has he cemented his position as starting front rower with 88 appearances, he has also established himself as a leader and mentor for the club’s young players.
Melbourne Storm Director of Football Frank Ponissi highlighted the importance of the role Norrie plays at the club.
“Bryan brings invaluable experience to our club, which is something you simply can’t buy,” Ponissi said.
“Noz is playing wonderful footy, his family has settled into Melbourne and everybody just loves being around him, he really is the perfect fit.
“His leadership and mentoring will be absolutely vital over the next few years, especially with Jason Ryles retiring from the NRL at the end of the season.
“We are extremely pleased to re-sign him again and rest assured we will be using every bit of his experience and knowledge.”
