The Gold Coast Titans have agreed terms with international prop David Shillington for the 2016-17 seasons
The Canberra Raiders giant, who turned 32 yesterday, grew up in Brisbane and will be returning to south-east Queensland after spending five seasons with the Sydney Roosters and seven with Canberra Raiders.
Shillington said that he is looking forward to joining a competitive club that is “on the up and building a strong roster for the future” and was delighted to be returning to south-east Queensland with his young family for the next phase of his career.
“I am very grateful to the Raiders coaches and management for the opportunity to develop into the player I am and while I’m excited about the future, I’m very much committed to the Raiders for the remainder of 2015,” he said.
Aquis Gold Coast Titans coach Neil Henry says the club will benefit from the size and experience of Shillington who has played 14 Tests for Australia, eight State of Origin games for Queensland and 194 NRL games.
