The Cronulla Sharks have secured the services of ex-Parramatta Eel Joseph Paulo on a two-year-deal.

Released from the final year of his contract at the Eels, the 27-year-old will link with the Sharks for the 2016 and 2017 NRL seasons.

Head Coach Shane Flanagan said the Paulo signing is one that would bolster the Sharks forward stocks heading into the new campaign.

“Joseph is a skilful player, and he will be a welcome addition to our squad,” Flanagan said.

“We’re putting together a strong roster ahead of 2016, and Paulo will only add to what we’re looking to build at the Club for next season and beyond.”

  1. ZT are you messing with my profile if so why? ive tried to comment 5 times on the Jamal Idris one and its not showing up

      • I had the same problem before…when i went to post a comment, for some reason it had someone else’s username and email address..but my posts were deleted by ZT..i managed to take a screenshot and will try to hunt it down…ZT i think we have a privacy issue here.. :/

  2. Yes he is gone. He might do good he has great footwork and speed but he can’t tackle or hold the ball. Good luck sharks this will free up our cap so we can buy Gutherson

  3. We have finally got rid of the shit players that gave us the spoon in 2013 like Samdow, Hoppa, Lussick and Seffa once Kelly is gone we will have all non bad players.

  4. sharks have a legit beast of a team for next year, i see Paulo coming of the bench and creating line break assists all day. Holmes to fullback will be really good for their attack inside the opponents 20… flash no doubt was a good player, but moving on is not a hindrance to the sharks roster apart from depth at fullback. I’m a big fan of townsend he’s similar to ben hunt for those who are foggy on him, maloney is pro & lefao looks like a great replacement for tupou.

When they got thrashed by the cowboys in finals, robson was useless but now they patched up their biggest weakness. Meter monsters fifita, gallen & heignington get all this good work done rucking out the ball which gets nullified by a poor kicker. For years they’ve been getting by on their forwards but finally have the halves & backs to get them scoring points & putting away teams clinging on.

If you guys have followed my posts earlier in the year on this article which unfortunately turned off comments: http://www.zerotackle.com/nrl/ten-predictions-for-2015-16122/

I posted my 5 favored teams to win in 2015 and my thoughts on them if you liked any to bet on: warriors, broncos, sharks, roosters, cowboys…. i lost $$$ this year backing warriors, sharks & broncos with broncos unable to get me home….. if you like the sharks this year take $15 now! so far my watchlist for next year were panthers, warriors, sharks & broncos with the panthers collapsing in the off season iv’e scratched them out. I’d wait on broncos & warriors but the sharks have signed so well I couldn’t wait to back them.

  5. Nice signing .. paulo wasn’t happy at the eels.. i just hope he can find his mojo at the sharks. If he can he will be a awesome addition

  6. Ran at least 100 meters per much. Unfortunately most of it was sideways and not forwards.

All up though he gave us good service but was never going to get any time in first grade next year.
Good luck with the Sharks Seffa and thank you for your service.

  7. Does this mean Anthony Tupou is not resigned. Seem to be very similar players with the only difference being that Paulo is creative before the line, where Tupou is good for an offload at the line. Or do you play them each side. Getting a strong squad together, still lean in the centres I reckon.

Gun team with great depth. If only they spent less on depth and Barba and more on quality outside backs.

  9. I have a really big soft spot for the Sharks and always want to see them do well as half my family goes for them, but why is paulo so highly regarded i don’t see it at all, i see a lot of mistakes for very little good things! hopefully he fires at cronulla would be good to see.
