Cronulla Sharks have been speaking to a number of English players, including Joel Tomkins, about joining the club from the shire in the near future.
Joel made his International debut for England this year and has just penned a new deal with Wigan, however the Sharks have not ruled out the possibility of Tomkins arriving in the shire.

It has also been revealed that retired captain Trent Barrett is a key driver behind getting Tomkins to the club, having been impressed with the young gun during his time playing with him at the Warriors.
Wests Tigers forward Mark Flanagan also played with Tomkins during his time at Wigan and endorses his friend’s possible move to the NRL.
The Sharks are in search of a back-rower and have some money available under the salary cap courtesy of Adam Cuthbertson’s decision to join St George Illawarra last week.
