Sandor Earl

Former Canberra Raiders winger Sandor Earl says he is enjoying his new life in Thailand as he awaits the final outcome of his doping suspension, but hasn’t ruled out one day returning to the NRL.

Earl remains the only NRL player charged since the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority investigation and he is expected to receive a reduced one-year ban for the use and trafficking of CJC-1295 in 2011, while recovering from a shoulder reconstruction.

He is facing bans from ASADA of two years for each offence, but is seeking a 75 per cent discount for “substantial assistance”.

Should that happen, he could return to the NRL as early as 2015.
