Adam Blair rumours continue with the Melbourne Storm and Kiwi international yet to decide on his playing future.
Speculation has been rife that Blair has already agreed to join the Wests Tigers for 2012. To make room for him, the Tigers have granted Bryce Gibbs and Liam Fulton permission to talk to rival clubs.
Throwing a spanner in the works though is a few of the Tigers’ players are apparently upset over the treatment of Gibbs and Fulton. It’s a well known fact that captain Robbie Farah and Gibbs are quite close.
Enter the Cronulla Sharks. They have apparently made a big late play at snaring Blair. After losing both Kade Snowden and Luke Douglas, the Sharks have the room under the salary cap to fit Blair in next season. He may also be tempted by a reunion with grand final winning team-mate Jeremy Smith.
If the Sharks miss out on Blair, it’s expected they’ll be the front runners for Gibbs signature should he leave the Tigers.
