Another loss on the weekend has the Parramatta Eels searching high and low for a solution to their halves problem. While this season might be a lost cause, rumours have it that they may have found a solution for 2012.
The rumour going around is that the Eels have offered South Sydney Rabbitohs halfback Chris Sandow a three year contract starting in 2012.
Sandow is off contract and with new coach Michael Maguire taking over the team after this season, it’s possible that Sandow has been told his Redfern career is coming to an end.
If the Eels don’t manage to secure Sandow, there are also rumours that New Zealand Warriors halfback James Maloney is looking to return to where his NRL career started playing for the Wentworthville Magpies after joining the Eels in 2007. Maloney has an option for the 2012 season with the Warriors.
