Junior Vaivai
Wearing blue and gold soon?

Another day, another rumour involving the Parramatta Eels. The latest rumour suggests that the Eels have signed promising young centre Junior Vaivai from the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2012 season.

This rumour actually has a bit of legs though as it’s been understood that the Eels have been making enquiries about the 21 year old Samoan for a few months now.

Vaivai has limited NRL experience, only playing four games at the top level but he excelled at Toyota Cup in 2009, scoring 20 tries and leading the league in line breaks.

The Eels have plenty of experience in their backs with the likes of Luke Burt, Joel Reddy and Chris Walker, so it makes sense that they’d be looking for some youth after missing out on Melbourne Storm youngster Matt Duffie.
