Rumours are surfacing that super coach Wayne Bennett has finally made up his mind about where he will coach in 2012.

Apparently Bennett has agreed to a three year deal with the Newcastle Knights. This rumour follows from previous reports that Bennett was close to joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The Bunnies aren’t the only team Bennett has been linked to though, with the North Queensland Cowboys, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and his former club, the Brisbane Broncos all hoping to win the Bennett sweepstakes.

The Knights rumour does have some legs though. The Nathan Tinkler takeover bid certainly gives them enough cash to offer a big contract to Bennett. Newcastle is also basically a country town which suits Bennett’s desire to stay out of the spotlight.
