Ben Jones
More playing time

A few sources are suggesting that young Sydney Roosters playmaker Ben Jones has been released by the club and will join the North Queensland Cowboys.

Jones is currently contracted to the Roosters until the end of 2012. Rumour suggests that he will sign a three year deal with the Cowboys upon his release from the Roosters.

With Todd Carney, Mitchell Pearce and Braith Anasta in front of him on the Roosters’ roster, the move makes sense with the youngster looking for more playing time and potentially a starting spot.

It’s also been rumoured for a while that the Cowboys have been looking for a halves partner for star halfback Johnathan Thurston.
