Apparently the Melbourne Storm have approached AFL bad boy Brendan Fevola to convert to the NRL for this season. This is one of the weirder rumours doing the rounds right now but as they say, stranger things have happened.
Fevola has a history of indiscretions at both club and personal level. Most recently Fevola was arrested in Brisbane on charges of of public nuisance and obstructing police. He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on 18 January. The Brisbane Lions Football Club has granted him indefinite leave.
Apparently the Storm believe Fevola’s physical attributes (191cm and over 100kgs) would hold him in good stead for a second row position. Apparently he is considering it given that he wants to be closer to his children and that the Lions seem set to revoke his contract given the ongoing drama that follows him.
No doubt the Lions’ would jump at the chance to offload Fevola but to an NRL club, might be a bit of a stretch.
