Robbie Rochow appears certain to leave the Knights after reports surfaced on Thursday that he had signed a one-year deal with South Sydney.

The 25-year-old from Maitland has been weighing up his options since the pre-season, when he knocked back a three-year deal to re-sign with Newcastle. He had been linked to Cronulla and Souths.

He has played 72 games for the Knights, but a broken arm and torn pectoral have restricted him to eight appearances this season.

A 2014 Country Origin representative, Rochow is posed to become the third back-rower to part company with the Knights this year, following Joseph Tapine (Canberra) and Tariq Sims (St George Illawarra).
