Canberra Raiders prop Dane Tilse has recommitted to the club for a further two seasons, extending his current deal until the end of the 2014 season.

Tilse, who joined the Raiders in 2006 was under contract until the end of 2012, however the Raiders management, coaching staff and playing group saw his extension as a key priority for the club moving forward.

Tilse said he never intended to move away from Canberra and said he was more than happy to commit to the club, despite fielding some informal offers from other teams including his former club Newcastle.

Raiders Coach David Furner said Tilse’ signature had been a priority for the club and said its great news to have him on board for three more years.
