Both Carr and Hunt are currently playing with the second-placed Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup competition, having previously served apprenticeships in the Toyota Cup and State Cup competitions.
Carr, 22, is a halfback or hooker who played with the North Queensland Cowboys in the Toyota Cup competition in 2008. He previously represented NSW at under 17s and 18s levels before playing with the Tigers in 2009 and 2010, and Redcliffe this season.
Hunt, 22, is a five-eighth, halfback or fullback, and has been part of the Brisbane Broncos NRL squad throughout the 2011 season. He played Toyota Cup with both Parramatta and Wests in 2008 before heading to the North Sydney Bears in 2009 and the Mackay Cutters in 2010.
Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson says the Rabbitohs are happy to have two of the Queensland Cup’s leading players at the Club next year.
