Beau Scott
Eels after enforcer

The Parramatta Eels have set their sights on NSW Origin enforcer Beau Scott, whose contract with St George Illawarra Dragons expires at the end of the year.

The Sunday Telegraph has learned the Eels recently made an expression of interest to talk to the 27-year-old backrower about moving west in 2013.

But like most free agents, Scott is believed to be content to wait until the details of the NRL’s new TV deal are announced before entertaining his future.

A significant rise in the salary cap is expected to accompany the improved agreement, but the player transfer marker is expected to be paralysed until exact figures are known later this year.
