The Parramatta Eels have released Bureta Faraimo from the remainder of his contract to pursue an opportunity at another NRL club.

Faraimo was released by the Eels before the June 30 deadline and has signed with the New Zealand Warriors for the remainder of 2017.

After playing 15 matches for the blue and gold over the past few years and despite being the leading try scorer in NSW Cup, Faraimo was unable to crack the Eels first-grade team this year.

Faraimo is expected to make his club debut in next Saturday's Intrust Super Cup clash against St George Illawarra at Mt Smart Stadium.

The Eels have also confirmed the release forward Kelepi Tanginoa.
