Panthers make play for Pom powerhouse James Graham

PENRITH yesterday became the first NRL club to express official interest in England skipper James Graham.

Panthers chief executive Mick Leary will closely monitor Sunday’s Four Nations Test against Australia to determine whether the front-rower could join Sam Burgess and Gareth Ellis in the NRL.

Graham, 25, is under contract for one more season with St Helens but could be in Australia by next November.

Wests Tigers, Manly, Souths and the Warriors have also been linked to Graham.
