The North Queensland Cowboys have signed Robert Lui on a two-year deal.
Lui, a veteran of 43 NRL matches at just 21 years of age, has been released from the final year of his contract with Wests Tigers to commence training with the Cowboys from Monday 14 November.
Born and educated in North Queensland, Lui played junior league for the Upper Ross Rams and went on to be named in the Toyota Cup Team of the Year in 2009, the same year he debuted in the NRL for the Wests Tigers.
The Cowboys, Wests Tigers and Robert have been in discussion for some time and all agree that a move to his home environment will be beneficial to his development.
Cowboys General Manager – Football Peter Parr says Lui will bring depth to North Queensland’s halves in 2012.
