Newcastle Knights winger James McManus will not take the field in season 2016.

McManus, who hasn’t played since Round 20 in 2015, has been receiving treatment and medical advice due to concussion.

“I need rest and time to work through my options,” McManus said.

“This has been a difficult time and I certainly appreciate everyone’s support.”

McManus, who has commenced working with the Club’s commercial team, will provide any further updates when appropriate.
