Kade Snowden

Kurt Gidley’s decision to leave the Knights at the end of the season to finish his career with English Super League club Warrington Wolves has cleared the way for the club to re-sign his likely fullback successor, Jake Mamo.

The Knights have all but wrapped up negotiations with 20-year-old Mamo and pack leader Kade Snowden and are on the verge of announcing their retention for another two years.

Snowden is coming to the end of the four-year deal he signed when he returned from Cronulla in 2012, and the 28-year-old Country Origin prop had no plans to move.

Mamo was in the sights of several rival NRL clubs, and the Dragons and Sea Eagles were reportedly at the head of the queue, but the Knights were always confident of retaining his services after illuminating the career pathway they have mapped out for him.
