Parramatta Eels veteran Luke Burt believes he’s playing the best football of his NRL career and insists he’s more than happy to remain on the wing, despite a successful switch to fullback last week.
The 30-year-old is off-contract at the end of next season and hopeful of securing a new deal that will take him into at least the 2013 campaign.
“I am not sure why, but I am feeling really good this season, it was quite well documented what a tough pre-season we had, but it really worked for me,” said the Eels’ record points scorer.
“I have just turned 30, the deal I have takes me up until I’m 31, but I am confident I can play until I am 32-33 and I would love to stay here and finish my career at Parra.
“I love the club and feel very at home here.”
