North Queensland Cowboys halfback Robert Lui has agreed to a one-year contract extension that will see him in North Queensland’s colours until the end of the 2014 NRL season.
Highly rated for his playmaking talents, Lui played in two finals series with Wests Tigers before returning to his hometown where he is looking to cement his position in the Cowboys starting lineup.
Injury has restricted him to just two matches this year but he’s in the No.7 jersey for the round 11 clash against his old club tomorrow night.
“I’m sure we are going to see the best of Rob Lui over the remainder of this year and again next season,” Cowboys general manager – football Peter Parr said.
“He feels at home here in North Queensland and we expect he will become a key player in our squad.”
Lui’s re-signing comes just a day after Brent Tate also agreed to a one-year contract extension.
