Manly boss Graham Lowe is convinced the Sea Eagles will not lose outstanding young talent William Hopoate to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Hopoate was instrumental in Manly’s methodical 20-10 win over the Warriors at Brookvale Oval on Saturday.
The 18-year-old was again filling in for regular fullback Brett Stewart, who missed the round six match with a hamstring injury.
The performances have caught the eyes of many, including the Bulldogs and Dragons.
Lowe said on Monday Hopoate will not leave the club.
But the Bulldogs are believed to be very keen to secure the teenager following the loss of Jamal Idris to the Titans.
“We don’t discuss our recruitment policies in the media,” Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore said yesterday when contacted by The Manly Daily.
“I’ve got no comment.”
