Jacob Lillyman has backed up his State of Origin recall for Queensland by signing a new two-year contract with the Warriors.
The second-rower-turned-prop has had a huge week and his re-signing heads a significant list of players who have committed to the Warriors while they had a bye. Tongan second-rower Ukuma Ta’ai, 24, and halfback Isaac John, 22, will be with the Warriors again next year while hooker Alehana Mara, 21, and utility Pita Godinet, 23, have both signed contracts that will run to the end of the 2013 season.
The retention of the Lillyman, 27, is pleasing. His loyalty reflects the investment the Warriors have made in him, helping the former Cowboy reignite his Origin dream on Wednesday, when he played his first Origin match since 2008.
