North Queensland Cowboys forward Rory Kostjasyn has committed his future to North Queensland until the end of the 2016 NRL season after today agreeing to a two-year contract extension.

Signed from the Melbourne Storm at the end of the 2012 season, Kostjasyn was coming to the end of his initial contract with the Cowboys and joins the likes of Gavin Cooper, Matthew Wright and Kyle Feldt in extending his contract with North Queensland this year.

Starting hooker for the Cowboys since round three, Kostjasyn has played all 15 NRL matches in 2014 to take his career total to 67, with 35 of these for North Queensland.

“Rory has become a regular first grader with the Cowboys and we expect that will continue as he continues to develop his game here,” Cowboys general manager – football Peter Parr said.
