Young gun Kodi Nikorima has ignored outside interest to re-sign a one-year contract extension with the NRMA Insurance Broncos.

The 21-year-old, who made his debut for the Broncos in round two this year, will be at the Broncos until at least the end of the 2016 season after agreeing to a new deal.

Nikorima said this morning he was pleased to settle his future so he could continue to concentrate on improving his play in the NRL.

“I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given this year and was happy to re-sign,” he said.

“My number-one priority was to sign with the club – I have been with the Broncos since I was 12 years of age.
