The New Zealand born forward has been at the Knights for four years after he was invited to junior representative trials in 2007. He played one season in the SG Ball, two years in Toyota Cup before moving into the full time squad this year.
Tetevano played 18 games in the NSW Cup team this season before earning selection to make his NRL debut in Round 20.
The 20 year-old’s re-signing comes after two solid performances in the NRL but contract negotiations were already underway.
“Zane is a great young talent coming through our system in Newcastle and we have seen over the last two weeks what he is capable of at the top level,” coach Rick Stone said.
Tetevano is delighted to be extending his contract with the Newcastle Knights.
“I am grateful to the Knights for what they have done for me and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” Tetevano said.
