The Canberra Raiders have continued their retention of players beyond this season, with rising star Jarrad Kennedy agreeing to a new two-year deal with the club which will keep him in green until the end of 2015.
Kennedy, 24, was part of the Raiders NYC team which won the competition in the maiden season in 2008, where he partnered Raiders stars Shaun Fensom and Joel Thompson in the back row.
The highlight for the Moruya junior coming in the NYC Grand Final, when he scored the match winning try in golden point extra time to help win the first ever under 20’s National Youth Competition.
He made his debut for the Raiders NRL team in 2012 playing two matches and has been in outstanding form this season so far for the Raiders feeder club Mounties in the NSW Cup.
The re-signing of Kennedy follows on from the new deals to Mark Nicholls and Paul Vaughan, who also played alongside Kennedy in the Raiders NYC team as they made their way through the grades at the club.
